Emma in Transferland: Return to Writing
The image is pretty self-explanatory (ish). Granted, my doctors look nothing like the Queen of Hearts, didn’t visit my home (which doesn’t have wallpaper), and didn’t remove all of my head. But, otherwise, it’s clearly very realistic and literal (and I am obviously taking not-Mark-Twain’s advice on not letting the truth get in the way of a good story).
Literal translation aside, the image gives a decent description of the reason for the much-longer-than-expected writing gap. I apologize (again), but, honestly, most of this gap was outside of my control.
I was planning to have maybe a month’s pause in the writing while I did the domain transfer. Little did I know that there would be a lot of technical glitches to extend the process. Maybe, it wouldn’t have happened if I had more experience with such things. Or maybe my site just happened to be sent to the least able employee of the hosting company. I don’t think I’ll ever really know until I try it again (and I am in no hurry).
Of course, right when the transfer was complete and solid, I found out that I needed to have surgery. Fairly serious surgery. Granted, I did have a choice: this week or next week.
Happily, the surgery went very well (yay). Unhappily, the average recovery takes 4-6 weeks (boo), and let’s just say that I am above average. With limited energy, I could only work a few hours a day, so what work I did had to be the work that pays (bills are so strict!).
And so the writing delay continued.
Well, I’m sick of it (no pun intended).
Ok. So what if I don’t have the energy to add a couple of posts a week to my re-burgeoning work schedule! I can do one post a week. Right? (Right?) I can at least try!
Buckle, your seat belts, friends! The Twytte Train is back in motion. Tea will be served, and you don’t have to worry about spilling it because the train will be moving rather slowly. BUT IT. WILL. MOVE.
You know, crossed fingers.
Thanks again for your patience and attention! Wish me luck!

You can do it!

Always welcome!
